To add a new asset type to a compliance scheme, navigate to the scheme and click Add Asset Type from the side menu.

It is not possible to add a new asset type with the same name as an existing asset in the same scheme.

When adding the asset type only the name is required however a description and any standard comments can also be entered and saved.
