This option allows the user to select a different frequency for task scheduling. In addition to changing the frequency it is possible to change a number of other parameters, like tolerance and retest type and frequency. An important factor once amendments have been made to any task is how to deploy those changes to any assets of this type which already exist within the system.
Suspended and Deactivated assets are ignored and will not be reseeded/rescheduled. This will need to be dealt with if the assets are reactivated at any point, on an individual basis.
There are three options:
- Reschedule all currently scheduled tasks of this type from their next existing scheduled date. All existing schedules from the next scheduled event will be removed and the amended schedule will begin from that point. Tasks of this type which have no current schedule will remain unscheduled as before
- Reschedule all currently scheduled tasks of this type from a specific date, all existing schedules from the current day forward will be removed and the updated schedule will begin on the date selected in Schedule from Date. Tasks of this type which have no current schedule will remain unscheduled requires a date is selected
- Schedule/reschedule all unscheduled/scheduled tasks of this type from a specific date, all existing schedules from the current day forward will be removed and the updated schedule will begin on the date selected in Schedule from Date. All task of this type will be scheduled requires a date is selected
Where an asset has had a schedule in the past this will not be removed when using this function, this can mean that when looking back across a schedule, gaps may be present.
